Refund Policy & Cancellation Policy

At TAXIWALAS, we aim to offer flexibility and transparency regarding booking cancellations, refunds, and payment modes. This policy outlines applicable terms based on both Online and Offline (Cash to Driver) payments.


1. Payment Modes Covered

  • Online Payments: UPI, Credit/Debit Card, Wallets, Net Banking

  • Offline Payments: Direct Cash Payment to the Driver


2. Cancellation by User

If Paid Online:

  • Cancel before driver assignment✅ Full refund

  • Cancel after driver assigned or en route⚠️ Cancellation fee may apply

  • Cancel after driver arrives at pickup point❌ No refund

If Paying Offline (Cash):

  • Cancel before driver assignment✅ No charge

  • Cancel after driver is en route or arrives⚠️ Cancellation fee will be added to your next ride or payable in-app before rebooking


3. Cancellation by TAXIWALAS

  • If we cancel the ride due to driver unavailability, app issues, or operational reasons:

    • Online payment✅ Full refund

    • Offline payment✅ No charges apply


4. Advance Booking Cancellation Policy

Online Payment:

  • Cancel at least 1 hour before ride time✅ Full refund

  • Cancel under 1 hour⚠️ Up to 50% cancellation fee

Offline Payment:

  • Cancel at least 1 hour before ride time✅ No charges

  • Cancel under 1 hour⚠️ Cancellation fee added to app or future booking


5. No-Show Policy

A “No-Show” occurs when the rider is unreachable or absent 10 minutes after driver arrival.

  • Online Payment❌ No refund

  • Offline Payment⚠️ No-show fee added to your next ride (must be cleared before next booking)


6. Refund Timeline

  • Online Payments: Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days. But may get credited with 7-14 business working days, as per Bank Policies.

  • Offline Payments: No refund applicable as no advance was collected


7. Penalty Collection for Offline Cancellations or No-Shows

If a cancellation or no-show penalty applies but you haven’t paid online:

  • The system will temporarily block new bookings until the pending fee is paid in the app or at your next ride.


8. Exceptions

In case of force majeure (e.g., flood, strikes, etc.), refunds and penalties may be waived at our discretion.
